Happy Wednesday Friends! I try to take advantage of the mild spring weather by working on outdoor projects before the temperature rises. My latest endeavor was to refresh a tired garden bench...
In a few weeks, most of this mulched area in my front yard will be a sea of blue when the blue sage blooms. Here's a peek from last spring:
I've seen a few blue buds promising the seasonal burst of color. Until then the copper bench was practically camouflaged and I was ready to give it new life with a bright color!
After a little work with a wire brush, I sprayed on a shade called sonic lime, a Lowe's spray paint. I love the color and can't wait 'til it is surrounded by blue blooms!
What do you think?
MY HEARTFELT THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING FOR FEATURING THIS POST:
Wow - what a difference the paint made. It is going to be beautiful surrounded by blue blooms!

Cecilia ... your blue sage is so pretty. I planted some last year and it is looking good now and budding. Likely will take over that planter bed. Love the bright color of your little bench ... not camouflaged any more! It will be real showy with the blue sage.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring days ... enjoy.

That is going to look absolutely stunning with the blue sage. I don't know about you, but I've got so much to do in the yard! Needing to add a brick walk from the porch to the steps up into the back yard and weeding and... I love this time of year!
ReplyDeleteThe blue and green will be a gorgeous combination! I bought turquoise paint to give my old bike a makeover, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

I love the color that you used on your bench. I'll bet it looks gorgeous in your garden. Love the blue sage, I can almost smell it from here. Hugs, Jo
ReplyDeleteI think I am in love! I just love that bright lime green with soft blue. It will be absolutely gorgeous!! I may have to brighten my white cast iron garden bench now :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks fabulous........love the color, and once those flowers are blooming
ReplyDeleteit will be a wonderful contrast. I got a new garden bench for my birthday and
it has really given me some inspiration to get with our backyard. The front
looks fine, but the back really needs some work. So it is coming along
nicely, think I am gonna need to paint my bench too, cause it is black,
and doesn't show up to well............enjoy that adorable bench
Blessings for a nice weekend,
Nellie
