Happy Monday, Friends! From my garden to the river trails where I walk several times a week, signs of spring are everywhere. There's also a lot of buzz locally about next week's total solar eclipse
Since it will be another twenty years until the next total eclipse of the sun, next week is being celebrated as quite the event. Here's a view of a sculpture to commemorate the occasion at the park near the river and trails...
...where I also had my first bluebonnet sighting a few weeks ago!
The redbud tree in bloom by the park bench is another lovely annual sign of the new season.
Now, we'll head into my garden!
I'm obsessed with this solar fountain pump that can be used to create DIY fountains with birdbaths or garden urns.
If you look closely, you can see lots of rosebuds in the center of the bush that will open soon!
Assorted roses including knockouts are always among the first to bloom and last to fade in my Texas garden.
I planted these Lady Banks roses years ago. Although they used to bloom every spring, this has been their first appearance since the 2020 storm --welcome back, beauties!
Funny story--I had been out weeding all morning and didn't even notice the profuse blooms until they caught my eye through the window inside because the roses had climbed so high into the trees! See the pink arrow? That's just below my neighbor's roof!
Tiny flowers create a meadowscape of wildflowers and brighten any space.
Remember the Little Limelight and Endless Summer hydrangeas I planted this past fall? The spring leaves are beginning to sprout!
Last but not least, sweet periwinkle vinca!

Very pretty blooms Cecilia, I love spring. Have fun with the solar eclipse. I am happy to feature your post at Love Your Creativity.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing your flowers. I think you should make prints to put on card fronts; your photography just amazes me. My daffodils are in full bloom here in Maine--we are SOOO far behind you. I always listen for Kerrville in the news now with all the tornados going on!
