Joyeux Noël! Vintage Home Decor Tour

Hi there, Friends! I'm delighted to be joining another Bloggers Best Holiday Tour hosted by Kelly at The Tattered Pew. We're opening up our homes all decked out for Christmas, and a different group will share each day of the week. Pour a cup of coffee or tea, get cozy, and come on in to my vintage kitchen...

Bloggers Best Holiday Home Tour 2021

If you hopped over after touring Kelly's lovely home at The Tattered Pew, welcome! I just love Kelly's charming style! As I prepared for the tour, I realized that I usually share my livingdining, and bedroom, so let's start in the kitchen this time. I try to challenge myself to display my favorite decor a little differently each season. The vintage school chalkboard that I often display on my mantel or upcycled buffet is currently hanging in my kitchen just to the left of my backdoor entry. {TIP: I use stencils and white art pencils to create my chalkboard art.}

Here's a view of it next to my laundry room door and a closer peek at the darling cross stitch Dear Firstborn made for me a few years ago. A tiny bottle brush tree adds a touch of whimsy. {TIP: Use craft putty to secure small decorations and easily remove them after the holidays.}

You may have seen the vintage jadeite I collect featured in many of my tablescapes. I repurposed this potting stand as a dish display that I change up seasonally. It faces the backdoor and greets me whenever I come home.

Earlier this month, I shared these handmade lace and spool Christmas trees and quilted ornaments I crafted for my Etsy shop. I love how they look tucked into the greenery and nestled up to the jadeite!

The vintage crocheted lace and bobbin spools that I used to craft the trees were thrift store finds. {TIP: Look here to see how I dry my oranges.}

I hung simple lamb's ear and orange wreaths on each corner cabinet in the kitchen.

Styling a vintage book "Christmas tree" is one of those projects that I've wanted to try for several years. I finally did it and I couldn't be happier with the results.

I purposely kept my dining room mantel simple this year.
