  2. Those aprons brought back great memories! My mom used to make aprons for the church Christmas bazaar; espeacially the organza ones with metallic braid trim--absolutely useles--but the ladies' wore them when it was their turn to host a monthly club meeting during refreshments. We had a mill a few towns away where you could buy "seconds" of braid by the pound! I remember my Babci's (Polish for grandmother) bib aprons--complete with knife slits across the bosom from cutting huge Jewish rye breads from the bakery with the knife coming towards her!
