Y'all know I love an easy cake mix recipe! Since baking supplies are sometimes in short supply during the pandemic, I try to keep a couple of cake mixes in my pantry. Ready to make some donuts? First: Combine the donut ingredients. The consistency will be slightly thicker than cake batter.

Next: Spoon or pipe batter into prepared donut pans and bake for 10-12 minutes at 325 degrees.  TIP: To prevent breaking or crumbling, allow donuts to cool completely before removing them from the pan!

This scrumptious orange dark chocolate bar really elevates these cake donuts to the next level! To make the glaze: Break the bar into squares and microwave for 30 seconds to melt. It make take a few 30-second intervals for the chocolate to melt, but do not overheat it or it will not melt! If the mixture is thicker than you prefer, you can stir in a tablespoon of almond milk. Last: Spoon drizzle the glaze over your donuts and top with sprinkles!

  1. This looks SOOO good. My SO recently became gluten intolerant; not sure if a GF cake mix will do it. Seeing as he is diabetic, too, and I have lost 20# with the diverticulitis, I think I'm gonna resist temptation--this time!

  2. Can you use skim cows milk instead of almond milk?
