Chocolate Covered Berry Bouquet and a Special Prayer Request

Hi there, Friends! Chocolate covered strawberries are one of my favorite indulgences. They can be quite pricey to buy, so I make mine at home. While they are always a hit with guests, they tend to be a little messy, so I came up with a fun way to serve them on sticks. Come see how I used them to create a festive edible bouquet that's pretty enough to give as gift or serve as a small centerpiece for Easter or any occasion...

First, you'll need a weighted container to arrange your edible bouquet. I shopped my home to use items I had on hand, and found a pretty small metal container and green glass gems. Small pebbles, beans or coffee beans would work too--whatever you choose just needs to add enough weight to keep the bouquet from being top heavy.

Next, you'll need strawberries, sprinkles, chocolate chips and lollipop sticks.

I melt my chocolate chips in the microwave, but be careful not to overheat them or they won't melt at all. I usually melt one cup at a time in 30 second intervals, melting more as needed. Gently place the strawberry on the lollipop stick to keep it from poking all the way through the fruit. Dip it into the melted chocolate...

...and add sprinkles! Then place it in your bouquet. Mine stood easily in the glass gems.

Once your bouquet is finished, you can add a bow if desired. Wouldn't this be perfect for Easter? The chocolate covered berries even have an egg like appearance. You could always use more berries and a larger container, if needed. It would also be fun for outdoor celebrations.

My Thrift Store Addiction Chocolate Covered Berry Bouquet

Before I go, I have a special prayer request that a dear friend asked me to share. Many of you follow Audrey's blog, Timeless Treasures. I found out this weekend that her husband Bob had heart surgery for 95% blockage. At this writing he was still hospitalized in San Antonio. Audrey requested prayer for congestive heart failure and his lungs plus protection that his kidneys were not damaged in the process. Many of you have known this dear woman of faith for years and I know she would greatly appreciate your prayers. Thank you.
