When I came across this sweet framed art at a yard sale, I remembered the floral painting technique that was popular in the eighties. The owner/artist confirmed my recollection when she shared she had painted it in an art class around that time. I was drawn to it and since it was $1, brought it home with me.

The wooden frame was in good condition, but my goal was to brighten the art, so I gave it a coat of gold spray paint: 5 minutes

While it dried, I cleaned up the glass* but decided it still needed a little something. I considered adding a word to the center of the floral wreath with gold script stickers...

Last, I popped the frame back on. *Glass cleaning, letters and frame: 10 minutes. I'm h-a-p-p-y with the results ;)
