Friday's Find #147

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Can you believe we've already arrived at Memorial Day Weekend? This week also marks my third year of blogging from my very first Friday's Find post. It's grown since then, when I shared just one find and I'm happy to say I've been able to share every single Friday, as it seems to be one of my more popular weekly features. Whether you are a new reader or have followed all along, I want to thank you for your support and for being here. I couldn't do it without you--hugs! Now on to this week's fab finds ~ I always enjoy finding seasonal decor at thrift stores...

Handmade stars and stripes pillow

...like this fun vintage inspired box. It's missing a lid and is a little banged up on the corners, but I fell in love with the little patriotic couple. Plus, it  was only .25, so I added a small doily and some dried hydrangeas and now it's a keeper.

At the same thrift, I found this handmade stars and stripes pillow, embroidered with God Bless America--doesn't get more patriotic than that!  Available

I made a second trip on the final day of an estate sale, in hopes of getting this shabby trio of birds half price--score! The same morning, I found this lovely vintage tablecloth at a yard sale.  I have had the best luck finding linens at yard sales lately.  I thought you would enjoy seeing how I used my new finds to create a quick Memorial Day vignette on the breakfast table.

Here's a closer look at the tablecloth. It was wrapped in plastic at the sale, in perfect condition and it's Available

Last, I found these copper ovals and upon closer inspection realized they're actually house numbers. Of course, I'm not sure how I will use them yet, but they're sturdy metal and for .25 each, I couldn't pass.  I have one idea that might work, but I'm curious--what would you do with them?

I often do that...looking at the first posts since I'm a newbie blogger myself. I think I'm inspired to post my finds of today too cuz I usually only post oncea week. 11. My 1st thought is to use the O numbers in October with a large B in front. Autumn's my favorite season, & I'm happy that Hobby Lobby already has some fall & Christmas craft items out now! thanks
