Friday's Find #146

TGITF Friends! Isn't it fun to find something you don't see everyday? For me, it's one of the best perks of thrifting! I came across this brass hand letter clip at a yard sale and was instantly smitten. Come check out the rest of this week's fab finds...

This lovely hand painted plate is a keeper, too!

A vintage jewelry box that is a little beaten up on the outside, but you would never know it, judging by the clean velvet inside, is a likely makeover candidate.

I found a few more items for the Baby Love section of my Etsy shop. First, this oh-so-sweet vintage baby dress. I adore the detailed stitching...and the tiny little puff sleeves...and the intricate scalloped hem! Incidentally, the stitching and fabric are almost identical to the vintage dress I posted a few weeks ago. The former is just a little longer--twins?  Available

How cute is this handmade Peter Rabbit pillow? I love the fabric! That naughty Peter looks ready to devour Farmer McGregor's carrot.  The bottom even says Naughty Peter. Available

Last, a fun handmade needlepoint rooster and hen magnet set. Available

Until next time, happy hunting!

  1. Oh Cecilia, I adore that plate! The colors are so soft and pretty! Those little dresses make me smile...I have several that were mine that are very similar. My other favorite is the Peter Rabbit pillow. And I can't wait to see what you do with the jewelry box!
    Have a lovely weekend!

  2. Awesome jewelry box. I have one just like it that belonged to my grandmother though the outside is in better shape, but the inside has seen the use...small world.

  4. Hi Cecilia!
What fun finds! I love the vintage clip, and I was wondering what you're going to do with the jewelry box? I have one that is damaged a little, and have been pondering in which direction to go with it.

  6. Love then handy hand! I used to do needlepoint (plastic canvas, needlepoint canvas) quite a bit. Those are simple easy ones to do in a short time! Designed and made a lot of needlepoint Christmas stockings.

  10. Great finds! I LOVE the jewelry I wouldn't touch the outside but that's probably because it perfectly matches a lot of the teal in my house lol!
