Thrift Store Yard Art: Teacup Tower

Happy Wednesday Friends! How do you like my teacup tower? By combining thrifted finds, I made it for less than $5--$4.25 to be exact! Gather your thrifted goodies, craft glue and a little imagination...

You know I am a confessed dish-aholic! Since my cupboards runneth over inside, I started using pretty little china plates outside.  You may remember, I like to use them as a border for my miniature roses.

When I came across this teapot and matching teacup sets at my weekly .25 sale, I was inspired to add a whimsical little sculpture between two of the rose bushes. The large bowl  I used at the base was a  $2 yard sale find.  I played around with the arrangement a little and glued it in sections, allowing several hours for drying, before adding more pieces.

The little birdie is from a previous .25 sale and I already had the chandelier crystal I placed in the teapot's spout.  The glass marbles were a yard sale freebie from two sweet teachers who had a sale last weekend :)

Here you can see the finished results and its place between the china bordered roses.  Have you repurposed any thrifted treasures lately?
