As someone with Irish heritage, I've always loved Aran sweaters. I still have the one I got on my honeymoon in Ireland 30 years ago. But sometimes even our most favorite sweaters can get a bit tired, stained and/or worn out and could benefit from a makeover. Our friend Julie from Sum of Their Stories did just that -- with a cherished family heirloom Aran sweater made by her mother. She expertly turned it into something grand that is heirloom quality in and of itself. Visit Embroidered Aran Sweater Bag Upcycle to see her beautiful creation!

Party Guidelines

  • Content: Submit up to three posts that involve vintage finds, crafts, DIYs, or other vintage subject matter. Please do not submit  Etsy or items for sale--they will be deleted!
  • TO BE FEATURED: LINK UP YOUR ORIGINAL CONTENT WITH ONE OF THE HOSTESSES. INSPIRATION POSTS FEATURING OTHERS' IMAGES WILL NOT BE FEATURED.
  • Visitation: Please visit other blog posts—after all, that’s what a link up is all about. When pinning, please go to the source of a photo to pin it to Pinterest, so the originator of the post gets the credit.
  • Hostess Love: Consider following each of your party hostesses blogs and/or one or more forms of social media. We love connecting with each of our guests and will be highlighting features on all of our social media.
  • Spread the Word: Consider mentioning Vintage Charm on your social media to help spread the word and make this party a great experience for everyone.
  • Prizes: Keep in mind that each month we will select one of the month’s featured posts to be Featured on all four hostesses blogs. At the end of the year, one of the twelve monthly features will be selected as the Grand Prize Feature of the Year. Prize TBA.
  • Permission: By linking up to Vintage Charm you assert that the photographs are yours (or you have permission to use them), and you give your hostesses permission to feature them on social media or a blog party, with a link back to your blog. You likewise assert that the content of your post is also yours.

  • Our trusted linky party provider, InLinkz, has chosen to upgrade their party format. "So what does this mean for me?" you might ask. It's basically the same as the old format, however, it may look a bit different in its page design. As always you will provide your link, the name of your link and your email address along with a photo. In that respect it's no different than what you've always done. The only other thing you'll need to do is check the box next to : "I agree to the InLinkz terms of service and privacy policy." That's it. if you have any questions or problems with this upgraded format please let either Kathleen or Cecilia know and they'll be happy to help!

    1. Cecilia,
You have no idea how story I am that I got rid of the Betty Crocker cook book I bought when first married 46 years ago....I guess it would be considered vintage now!! LOL! I just watched an episode of The Food that Built America on the history channel and I learned that Betty Crocker was actually NOT a real person!!! I did not know that!
Thanks so much for hosting this wonderful party!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links!! I hope you are having a great week!!
      Hugs,
      Deb

    2. Thanks for having us over, Cecilia. I hope you're getting some fall weather down there. Your home tour was so pretty with your lovely blues. The vintage kid's cookbook is adorable.
