Dollar Store Scores: Friday's Find #323

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! I know many of you who shop thrift stores also frequent dollar stores. I know I've said it before, but I continue to be amazed by the goodies available at both Dollar General and Dollar Tree! I have also noticed that different store locations seem to carry different merchandise. Here are a few of my recent scores that you may want to watch for at your local stores...

One of my favorite things about shopping at Dollar Tree is that I never know what I might find--like a Rae Dunn inspired mug or cute valentine candles!

Run to the dollar store for these fabulous finds!

I have to admit my family is a little nerdy when it comes to word play and puns, so I couldn't resist these whimsical flour sack towels.

The morning glory seeds are usually the first to sell out in my small rural town, so I grab them any time I see them. I found these at Dollar General.

  3. As usual, enjoy your treasures. Do you know the trick about soaking morning glory seeds (like overnite), then scoring--carefully--the seed coat with a sharp knife. It helps them germinate faster. MG's don't like being transplanted so I put them directly into soil or in a peat pot that I can rip out the bottom and plant! That blue is one of the best colors I've ever seen! My son is the punster of this family and I always forward them to him!

  4. I love those towels and have been collecting them for several months. There are quite a few different ones in the set, like 8 or 9. I sent a set to my granddaughter on her birthday. They are fun to change out on my oven door. I like that they are not microfiber. Can't stand to touch that stuff Its always exciting to see the seeds come in to the store along with the hand digging shovels and I see they have such cute pot hangers with turtles, bees, frogs, climbing up little ladders to hang on the sides of pots.

  5. Also I have been buying the cute little fairy houses and accessories that are in, but they are flying off the shelves as fast as they come in.

  8. I saw that same cup at our local Dollar Tree. We live in a small town and our little Dollar tree seems to always have something different but so much of what I spot doesn't last long and you are right...those morning glory seeds is one of them that doesn't hang around long in there. I buy then every year since they are so easy to grow too. I love our dollar tree. There is one about 35 miles away from me that is huge...I need to make a trip now. LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
