Hello, Friends! We're so excited to announce the Vintage Charm Feature of the Year: Drum roll please...Congratulations to Robin at Redo It Yourself Inspirations, whose fabulous Horse Carriage Bench Seat Makeover was chosen as our very first Feature of the Year!
Robin's perseverance in recreating her dream of an antique carriage bench is a true DIY success story.
Robin's perseverance in recreating her dream of an antique carriage bench is a true DIY success story.
After winning a bench that wasn't quite what she'd envisioned at an auction, she decided to weather it herself...literally! Yep, resourceful girl that she is, Robin left that baby out in the rain and snow until the paint flaked and the wood slightly separated. Be sure to drop by to see the rest of the clever process Robin used to transform her horse carriage bench seat and congratulate her on winning Feature of the Year!
Robin is one talented blogger who describes herself as a DIY fanatic, design enthusiast and fleamarket flipper--a winning combination and she is oh-so-creative, too!

DeleteI can't even begin to tell you how honored I am. What a wonderful way to start 2017. I can't believe the prizes! The plate is so beautiful, and similar to a platter that I have from my great grandmother. It will become an heirloom that I'll proudly treasure and display in my hutch with the platter. Thank you so very much! You made my whole DIY blogging days the best ever!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome and it is well deserved! So glad to hear you have a platter similar to the plate ;)
DeleteCongrats to Robin! That bench is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThis makeover is great! Natural weathering is the way to go! Robin is very talented and thank you for sharing her carriage bench with us :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I feel all inspired now. That chair is adorable. I want one just like it. Now I just need to find a kind of wonky looking carriage bench... :)
