All That Glitters: Rustic Glam Birch Slices and Tablescape

Greetings Friends! I've shared a whimsical vintage snowman tea party at my breakfast table and today I'm featuring my dining table decked out for the holidays. I love the festive feeling of silver and gold Christmas decorations and this year I've added some extra sparkle to my dining room ...

Remember these? I grabbed them from Smitten, back in October.  To make these glittery gold monogram place markers...

After gluing on dried leaves and mini pinecones, I used the same technique on these birch candle holders I found at a yard sale for .50! Ready to see how I used them in my tablescape?

I'm not sure what it is about old sheet music, but I find it so romantic and used it several ways this holiday season! I started by laying multiple sheets in different directions to mimic a runner and then added a layer of this sparkling metallic burlap ribbon.

Here's the place setting--my vintage china paired with Target clearance plates from a previous holiday season.  I love the little birds perched on golden leaves!  I also added some mini pinecones to my flatware pockets.

The snow tipped silver bottle brush is more holiday clearance from Christmas past.  I found the tiny gold nativity and the cloche at a local thrift store.  I just arranged it on a small china plate and added faux snow.

Now for the centerpiece! I've had this peace sign for several years.  I was drawn to its  crackly finish.  It's nestled at the bottom, with the snowy tulle garland and...

  1. Love the woodsy look Cecilia. I all came together very nicely. That is a great bottle brush tree. Hard to find the tall ones.

  3. That's pretty, Cecilia! I'm not sure what I like the most - the sparkly monogrammed wood slices, those plates (so cute!), or the tree. It all looks great.
    Hugs,

  9. I can't decide what I love the most either, I simply adore all of it! I'm quite taken with the huge music sheets placed underneeath the table runner, very inspirational idea. But those monogram place markers have totally won my heart. Thank you for sharing, I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of you tour.
