Easy Chocolate Filled Christmas Puff Pastry

Happy Friday, Friends! Can you believe it's only 9 days until Christmas?! Today I'm sharing some comfort from my kitchen in the form of delicious, chocolate-filled puff pastry. I promise it's not complicated--you can whip these tasty treats up in about 30 minutes...

Here's what you'll need:

Puff pastry sheet
1/3 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp butter
Powdered sugar for dusting the pastry
Parchment paper* pastry brush* Christmas cookie cutters
*Makes 8-10  small pastries

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. Melt chocolate chips in butter. 3. Unroll the sheet of puff pastry and brush melted chocolate on one half. 4. Fold over the bare pastry to cover the chocolate portion, use desired cookie cutters, place on the parchment-lined baking sheet, and bake at 300 degrees until lightly browned. 5. Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving. Tip: Periodically check during baking and gently press with a spatula to prevent uneven rising of the pastry.
