Happy Thursday, Friends! It's time for this month's Creative Crafts blog hop! Do you have an old flowerpot that could use a little love? Today I'll show you how to give it a fresh look using copper paint!
Thanks to Andrea at Design Morsels for hosting, and if you hopped over after visiting Carol from Bluesky at Home, welcome! Flowerpots can be pricey to replace--especially the large ones! I've been noticing a growing trend of flowerpots featuring different colored rims. To complement the existing copper accents in my garden, I decided to paint the top rim and bottom edge. My pot already had a morning glory sprout coming back, so I started by protecting the plant with plastic. You can see that the pot's top edge was pretty banged up, so I sanded it to smooth the rough edges. Then I used painter's tape before spraying the rim with metallic copper. I really like how it contrasts with both the green pot and the growing greenery!
Follow the easy steps above to make your own!
Next up is Rachelle from My Hubbard Home, and for more crafty inspiration, visit my talented friends below:
If you haven't visited since last month and were surprised by my new profile photo, you can read about my hair journey, here! Also, drop by Monday for an update on my garden now that it's been a year since the storm damage!
