Bunnies in the Garden Easter Tablescape and Treats

Happy Tuesday, Friends! For those of you who are fully vaccinated, you may be looking forward to hosting your first holiday gathering since the pandemic. Today I'm excited to share a whimsical Easter tablescape along with 20 of my blogger friends. So get comfy and get inspired to celebrate...

If you hopped over after visiting Kari at Me and My Captain, welcome! Maybe you or your relatives don't fall into the vaccinated category, Don't fret--I am confident that you can adapt at least one of the tablescapes you'll visit today to create an intimate pandemic safe celebration with those in your household. For my "bunnies in the garden" theme, I paired these whimsical Pier One bunny plates with vintage jadeite and pretty spring greenery placemats I found on sale at Hobby Lobby.

Keep an eye out for the tiny bunnies I've scattered about to frolic in my garden! I'll be sharing my recipe for lavender chocolate brownies in an upcoming post before Easter.

They have just a hint of lavender and are so yummy!

I placed a simple wreath around my jadeite baking dish and of course, more tiny bunnies. TIP: For an extra festive touch, I used a doily like a stencil and sprinkled the top with powdered sugar.

Pale pink blooms and lavender buds complement my whimsical garden style table.

In addition to the brownies, I've also included small chocolate treats. Yes, I did pick out the green M & Ms from the assorted pastel colors for the little flowerpots holding a Ghirardelli salted caramel bunny. 😊

Who else loves delicious Ferrero hazelnut eggs?

I opted for my copper handled flatware to complement the place setting.

  1. What sweet confections you've prepared for us, Cecilia! Those Pier 1 bunny plates are adorable, and I think all of us tablescapers share in sorely missing the selections our local Pier 1 stores offered. I guessed right away that a doily was your stencil, but boy, that sure does elevate the presentation of the lavender (!) brownies. I know you grow your own lavender, but am I correct in that you purchase culinary lavender for use in the kitchen? Isn't it nice to know we may be able to share in meals around a table again? It adds a bonus to our tablescaping activity which, by itself, was a Godsend in keeping me entertained this past year. Happy Spring to you, Cecilia. It certainly gives new meaning to the season of hope this year, doesn't it?!

  2. Your Jadeite collection is beautiful. A standout to me iste the two vases especially the one with the raised design. Are they old? Love the flowers you chose too. So funny that you picked out just the green m an m's. I would do the same thing! Off to look at more of your posts.

  6. I did get a chuckle out of you picking out all of the green M&M's. Every year at Christmas I pick up a couple extra bags of the red and green M&M's, that gives me plenty of red for Valentine's Day, and plenty of green for St. Patrick's Day. My husband always chuckles as I sit and divide them out.

  15. Cecilia, Your table is as pretty as can be and certainly says Easter with all of the sweet bunnies and all of the sweet Easter treats! Yes, we both used those delightful garden inspired boxwood placemats. I was glad to hear that Hobby Lobby carries them, also, they are currently sold out, but perhaps I can add to my collection at a later date. Thanks for joining in to hop with me over the hears and Happy Easter!

  16. Cecilia...I am sure you don't know this about me...but I sing alot and I always sing the old song "Cecilia" as I type my comments to you.LOL For clarification, I am not talking about the Simon & Garfunkel "Oh Cecilia, you're breaking my heart" but the older song! The lyrics are: "Does your mother know you're out Cecilia? Does she know that I'm about to steal ya?" It would probably not be politically correct these days, but nothing seems to be. LOL
Aside from that, your table is lovely. I have Jadeite too and your bunny plates are perfect with the green. Lavender also resides in my home as it relaxes me ...The Captain doesn't mind it either. I would certainly not turn down a sample of the lavender brownies should you ask.
Have a great and Blessed Easter

  19. Cecilia. I have always loved jadeite. It would be yet one more on my list to collect. I can see how you enjoy using it and it is superb in this Easter tablescape. With the boxwood placemats and bunny salad plates, it really speaks Spring and garden. I must try the lavender in the brownies. I adore lavender tea and it is so healthy. Even if you pair it up with chocolate. Your assortment of chocolates look so yummy. Your beautiful white lace edged napkins are such a classic. So crisp and delicate. Happy Easter!
