Hi there, Friends! Do you have spring fever yet? Today I'm sharing how I refreshed my mosaic patio table to get it ready for spring...
While our record-breaking extreme temps and winter storm lasted just shy of a week, it was a long week. There is a saying in Texas that if you don't like the weather, wait a minute, as the two photos below illustrate perfectly! Thursday, it snowed all day, and then three days later, it was 73 degrees!
This mosaic patio table was one of my first purchases for my outdoor space. I bought it new--on sale of course--from World Market almost 20 years ago.
This was the first winter it has been completely covered in snow, so I decided it was time for a simple refresh. I started by using a wire brush to remove rust from the underside of the table. Next, I used spray paint I had on hand to spray paint the table legs. Then I taped and hand brushed the table edge with black outdoor paint.
To give the paint ample time to dry, I waited a day to give the mosaic top a good cleaning with peroxide and a toothbrush. Now it's ready for spring, and I am too! (Find outdoor candle lanterns here!)

Great clean-up. Do seal your tabletop with a silicone sealer...easily done and it will repel water and stains. Great way to freshen it up each year! Hugs, Sandi
ReplyDeleteGreat fix and now you're all set for spring sitting.
