Shoes Glorious Shoes! Friday's Find #283

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! This week's fabulous find is all about shoes! No...they're not real shoes, but they are vintage and oh-so-fun to browse. Come along for a little virtual window shopping--it won't cost a penny...

Cinderella is proof that a new pair of shoes can change your life!

When I came across this like-new set of playing cards featuring vintage shoes, I was intrigued. I did a quick count, and since the deck seemed complete, they came home with me.

However, it wasn't until I got home that I realized just how fun the trivia facts are!

Thinking that you would enjoy them also, I selected a variety to share! Of course, I can't imagine actually wearing some of them, but they sure are fun to look at.

I found that several of the pairs I like most are from the 60s.

Two words for anyone who thinks cute shoes aren't important: Dorothy and Cinderella!

Isn't it interesting how styles seem to come back around every so often?

  3. What a great find! I used to LOVE shoes so much more than I do now! I did love seeing the old styles. As a child I had foot trouble, and my mother always got me the brown or red Buster Browns and white ankle socks. When everyone else had pointy squash heels and nylons! I was in colege before I would wear "saddle shoes" voluntarily! As I used to tell my kids when I did something they didn't agree with, "It's nothing that years of intensive psychotherapy won't fix!"
