Friday's Find: Peter Pan Kisses!

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! When I discovered today's tiny feature in one of my frequent haunts, I had to smile.  Ever since Dear Firstborn portrayed Wendy Darling in our local community theater, whenever I see a thimble I am reminded of Peter Pan...

Vintage thimble Peter Pan kisses
"Surely you know what a kiss is?" she asked aghast.
Are you familiar with the story? When Wendy asks Peter if he would like a kiss, he unknowingly holds out his hand.  Not wanting to embarrass him, she places a thimble in it. I paid a whopping .25 for my "kisses." I was able to date the plastic thimble from the 60s. The other four are metal like the ones my grandmother used.

I added some dried rosebuds from my garden-- don't they make adorable miniature vases?
Until next time, happy hunting!
