Greetings Friends! Today's Summertime feature is one for indoors. As temperatures rise don't you just want to keep everything from your clothes to your decor light and breezy? That works for me and is also the inspiration for my seasonal tablescape--white crisp cotton and cheerful pops of color, all from my collection of thrifted treasures. I will keep this fresh setting through the summer and Labor Day. Follow along for inspiration for your next jaunt to the thrift store...
You know I love me some Vintage tablecloths so of course I started with this sweet strawberry favorite. Next I added my doily inspired chargers from Michaels. These are so me and they compliment all of my Vintage dishes--best $3 chargers e-v-e-r! The blue enamelware dinner plates as well as the white Fire-King salad plates are both from my nearest and dearest local thrift store. I just found these pretty little napkins at an estate sale last weekend. They appear to be sewn from a Vintage tablecloth and each one features different fruit. Whether it's milk glass or ironstone, I love grouping my collected white pieces together and filling them with fresh herbs and flowers. Last but not least, my thrifted porcelain cherries from Italy and chippy Mr. Salt & Mrs. Pepper add a little touch of whimsy :)
Do you prefer to keep it casual this time of year? Thanks for stopping by--you are welcome at my table anytime!
MY HEARTFELT THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING FOR FEATURING THIS POST:
Lovely table Cecilia ... really pretty napkins and such a great idea to make them from an old table cloth.

DeleteHi Cecilia,
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting from Home and Garden Thursday and your darling summer table caught my eye right away. :) I'm using a vintage tablecloth this week, too; they really do scream summertime, don't they? I love everything on your table; the doily chargers are so pretty and a REAL bargain! I also love your cherries -- never imagined they were porcelain!
Hope you have a wonderful week and a Happy Fourth (if you live in the U.S.) :)
