Hi there, Friends! As we head into a new year, I always enjoy taking a look back. I find it insightful, because there are two types of readers' favorites--those that I was aware of and those that came as somewhat of a surprise!
TGITF Friends! Do you typically go thrifting during the week between Christmas and New Year's? I made a few stops and scored some great Christmas clearance. I found this sweet vintage hankie for .50! I've sold several Christmas hankies in the past, but this one is a keeper. I am smitten with the tiny delicate details.
Happy Wednesday, Friends! If you have some eggnog left over from Christmas, I've got the perfect recipe for you today. Plus, I'm sharing features from the Creating Christmas link party!
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! This last week before Christmas has been a busy one, but I still managed to score several treasures. First, I've seen quite a few Putz houses on other blogs, but I I've never come across any at thrift stores. These were a bargain and even though they have a few bare spots that need a little love, I was happy to find them!
Happy Wednesday, Friends! Have you ever accidentally started a Christmas tradition? Sometimes those that aren't thought out or planned, but just stick on their own can be the sweetest. Here's the story of how I became the annual reindeer food maker....
Hi there, Friends! Today I am sharing a fun repurposed project. While these retro bottle stoppers would be a great addition to a Christmas or New Year's Eve party, they can also add a little bling to a bar cart year round!
Believer, herb gardener, dishaholic, lover of dark chocolate, Southern girl, and thrift store junkie. I’m passionate about finding beauty in imperfection. I adore decorating and gardening but as a single parent have always needed to do both on a budget. Thrifting-- my all inclusive verb for shopping resale shops, thrift stores, estate and yard sales is not just my hobby but rather a lifestyle. It supports my habit of collecting Vintage dishes and Pyrex and over the years has proven invaluable for decorating and re-decorating. I am passionate about transforming and repurposing cast away furniture and love furnishing my home with pieces that have their own history. It has saved me more pennies than I can count and is the perfect solution to almost any dilemma. Your child comes home from school and informs you that he must dress like his favorite super hero TOMORROW? Your daughter can only wear modest knee length skirts to respect the local culture on her upcoming mission trip? Volunteer to host the next ladies event but then realize you don't own enough matching glasses? The answer to these questions and so many more: THRIFTING! Last, but certainly not least--thrifting is all about re-cycling, re-imagining and re-creating; the best way to shop green!
