Happy Thursday, Friends! Today I am delighted to be joining 24 blogger friends for a Spring Home Tour hosted by Marty from A Stroll Thru Life! Each day five different bloggers will invite you into their homes for a virtual tour of their beautiful decor and favorite tips for the season. Come on in
If you hopped over after visiting Kim of From Farmhouse to Florida, isn't her brocante style decor lovely? Welcome to my Texas home! Psst...want to know a secret? You don't need expensive collections to embrace a collected look! In fact, the homes I am most drawn to layer different styles, textures, and colors to create charming interiors that tell the owners' stories. Forget preconceived decorating "rules"and start with what you love!
Have you ever noticed that the people who know you best tend to give you gifts that are just right?! My Christmas gifts from Youngest Daughter (the beautiful botanical art)...
...and Dear Firstborn (the charming handmade vase displayed in the upper right corner of the tray) inspired my spring mantel. Have you tried these wooden magnetic hanging frames? They are perfect for posters or odd-sized art!
I want to encourage you to embrace color in your decor. You can see here that soothing neutrals like my soft gray walls anchor the space, allowing my turquoise-painted furniture to pop.
Spring has sprung in the dining room...
...and I am ready to "get growing!"
Here's a preview of the spring tea party on my buffet that I'll be featuring soon--stay tuned!
Want to create beautiful art on a budget? See how I crafted this whimsical reverse canvas art...from a placemat!
You check out my painted wicker chair DIY, here!
Next week, I'll be sharing details for crafting this oval frame wreath!
Another way to save money (and storage) is using seasonal pillow covers like these gorgeous floral designs.
I'll leave you with a sneak peak of my spring bedroom decor. In a few months I'll switch my linens to crisp whites, but I'm still enjoying the cozy lightweight velvet curtains and bedding for early spring.
I'm so glad you stopped by today! Don't forget to scroll down to visit the rest of this week's tours. Next up is Linda from It All Started with Paint--I can't wait to check out her pretty blush and green spring decor!
