Happy Monday, Friends! Today I'm sharing some of my favorite comforting warm drinks for the holidays and winter months. I've included recipes from simple single servings you can make using K-cups to crock pot cider and more...

KEURIG PEPPERMINT COCOA (Per Cup) 


Make an indulgent single serving of peppermint cocoa using K-cup cocoa. Place a peppermint stick in a cup before making a cup of cocoa and garnish with whip cream--and sprinkles if desired!

SALTED CARAMEL COCOA (4-6 servings)


Ingredients:

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

½ cup sugar 

⅓ cup hot water

4 cups milk 

3 tablespoons caramel 

1 ½ teaspoons coarse sea salt


Garnish:

Whip cream

Caramel syrup

Sprinkles or sea salt as desired


Combine cocoa, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Stir in hot water and cook on medium heat. Stirring constantly, add caramel and milk until evenly heated. Remove from heat and pour in cups. Garnish with whip cream, caramel syrup, and sprinkles or salt as desired. Enjoy!

CROCK POT SPICED CIDER (10 Servings) 


8 apples quartered (Use your favorite variety)
4 sticks cinnamon
1 tablespoon whole cloves
1 teaspoon whole allspice
10 cups water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 orange thickly sliced, optional

Combine fruit, spices, and water in crock pot. Cook three hours on high. Use a potato masher to mash the apples and add brown sugar. Cook another two hours on low, and strain before serving.

SANTA’S HAZELNUT MOCHA (per cup)


Whether you’re trimming the tree or wrapping presents, warm up with the sweet flavors of chocolate and hazelnut! 


Ingredients: 

1 cup of hot coffee

2 tablespoons milk

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1-2 tablespoons hazelnut coffee syrup to taste


Garnish:

Whip cream

Pirouette hazelnut cookie  


Combine coffee, milk, and cocoa. Mix thoroughly. Add hazelnut coffee syrup to taste. Garnish with whip cream and cookie. Yum!

LAVENDER JASMINE TEA (per cup)

Combine your favorite jasmine tea and lavender simple syrup for a soothing sip with floral accents!

    A side note - we buy those sweet stripes soft peppermint sticks each year, usually at WalMart. Each time I've prepared my clicklist, they've not shown them yet (and I can bet they're in the store, but I won't go in). I braved going into DT because I knew they also stocked them - mission accomplished!
