Vintage Repurposed Garden Storage Refresh: Fridays at Home

Friday Greetings, Friends! For today's Fridays at Home feature, I'm sharing the quick refresh of a much-loved previous fabulous find...

Several years ago, I scored these vintage office drawers and repurposed them for garden storage. Since then, the Texas sun hasn't been kind to them and after the hail storm in May, I added them to my list of DIY repairs.

I actually started this project after completing my DIY painted shutters. I still had paint on the roller and after painting the sides and top, on impulse, I pulled out some of the drawers, rolled paint on, and allowed them to dry before pulling out the others and repeating. This worked surprisingly well, and the following day, I touched up the in-between spaces with a brush.

I used stenciled chalkboard paper to replace missing labels.

It originally held 20 drawers but when I purchased it, a drawer was missing, so I have always stacked pots in the open space. I usually reserve a drawer or two for seasonal flowers.

There are still plenty of drawers for storing an assortment of garden supplies and small tools.

I love this piece because it is functional and whimsical!
