Keeping Family Traditions Ma-Maw's Christmas Cookie Recipe

Happy Monday, Friends! During the Christmas Porch Tours last week, I had several requests to share my grandmother's Christmas cookie recipe. So, here it is--enjoy!

As I mentioned before, as a child, I looked forward to these Christmas cookies every year. They make a perfect last minute gift, too--just fill a tin or gift box and voila!

  1. Cecilia, thanks so much for sharing this lovely recipe! I have so many wonderful memories of my Grans. One made the traditional Scottish fruit cake every year. Have a blessed and joyful Christmas!

  3. This sounds so good; I can see me brushing the confectioner's sugar off my face and shirt front! SO hates nuts in things; might make some plain for him! I have baked a bunch of cookies for Ladies Aid shut in goody baskets. I cheated and used cake and brownie mixes. BUT it sure is hard to beat a tried and true recipe that brings back happy memories!

  8. I was craving a baked good last night and was disappointed that everything I thought about making wasn't possible for the lack of groceries. I'm super excited to make these today! I have all the ingredients - woo hoo! Thanks for posting it on your winter tour.
