Happy Monday, Friends! Have you had a relaxing Labor Day weekend? Today I'm sharing the home tour of one of my dearest friends, Dianne. She and her husband recently moved to New Braunfels. When I had the pleasure of visiting her beautiful home, I snapped some photos because I knew you would enjoy seeing it too...
If you've read my book, then you may remember that Dianne was my spiritual mentor during one of the hardest seasons of my life. We have been friends for over twenty years, and even when the physical distance has grown between us due to moves, we have remained close. We share the kind of friendship where months may go by, but when one of us makes contact, we are able to pick up right where we left off.
Dianne's hubby, Rusty, is also a dear friend. As a couple, they helped me plan financially to buy my home. From the floorplan to move-in day, they were there every step of the way. Additionally, when it comes to home and garden decor, Dianne has been one of my greatest inspirations. Even before I blogged, I was always passionate about creating a beautiful home, and Dianne's house has always looked like a page from a magazine. Her new home has a charming courtyard entrance. Isn't that fish planter darling? As long as I can remember, there's always at least one pot of red geraniums to greet guests at Dianne's house.
I also credit Dianne for teaching me the value of a few coats of paint when it comes to giving new life to patio furniture. If memory serves me correctly, I believe this bistro set was once dark green. :) I love the vintage crocks peeking out from this colorful hibiscus.
A lush fern adds a soothing touch of greenery to the courtyard.
As we head indoors, the custom tiled fireplace is the focal point of the living room.
Dianne has always had a knack for styling shelves and a flair for whimsy, as well.
Here's a closer peek at that gorgeous fireplace and mantel!
The dining room is flooded with sunlight, which I adore in any room. In this photo, it washes out Dianne's gallery wall a bit, but the rustic elegance of the room is apparent.
As always, she set a lovely table for our lunch.
The kitchen features more charming custom touches including this fabulous island and...
...open shelving above this gorgeous red buffet.
Here's a closer peek at her beautifully styled kitchen shelves.
Don't you just love the buffet?
I hope you enjoyed the tour! See you Wednesday for the Vintage Charm party!
I did enjoy the tour, maybe too much! I have several pieces of decor like hers. That red buffet is a grand finale. Thanks to you and her for sharing.
