Happy Monday, Friends! If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have already seen the exciting news I'm sharing today. My Baby Boy got married on Valentine's Day! Jared aka Favorite Son and his lovely bride, Maria chose a simple ceremony in the gazebo at our local courthouse followed by an intimate celebration in the garden. The simplicity was lovely and there are lots of photos, so join me for the highlights of this romantic event...

Actually, when I say they chose a simple ceremony, insisted is more accurate ;) They wanted an informal, no fuss wedding and while I have known that they were planning on getting married, the decision to have the ceremony on Valentine's Day was a last minute one, but it came together beautifully. Growing up as the only male in our home, Favorite Son is no stranger to valentine celebrations. This is one of my favorite childhood photos of him, taken after his older sisters dressed him up as cupid. He still has the same smile and who would have thought that this little cupid would end up having a Valentine's Day wedding eighteen years later?!
He met Maria online, a little over a year ago. When he introduced us via video chat, I knew she was special. At that time she was working as a nanny in London. She came here in July to spend the summer and the more I got to know her, the more I loved her. In January, Jared visited Maria in her hometown of Villarrobledo, Spain and met her large extended family. By that time, the couple had decided on marriage and received her family's blessing.

After a drizzly wet morning, prayers were answered with gorgeous weather for the afternoon of the ceremony. It was a simple and sweet celebration and I'm so happy for Maria and Jared. I'd like to thank their friend Bekah, who is a local photographer that captured some beautiful photos. Now I'll let the rest of our photos speak for themselves. Enjoy!
