TGITF Friends! Like most of this week's finds, I'll be using this fabulous vintage basket as fall decor. I have childhood memories of seeing large shallow baskets like this one used as wall decor. Now they're back and I've seen them styled from boho chic to farmhouse decor. They are fetching a pretty penny on Etsy, but I'm already getting attached to this one. I can always sell it later--right?

I plan on displaying this charming pumpkin pie recipe plate in my kitchen until it sells! It was manufactured by Royal China Jeannette pottery in the sixties. Available

After a little research I learned these festive die cut pumpkins are vintage Beistle party decor. They are very versatile--large enough to be used as placemats and they were cute styled on my fall mantel too. You can see the inspiration photos I included in my Etsy listing here.

I love the sweet faces on these small scarecrows. They were a bargain at .25 each plus the pair matches a smaller one I found a few years ago.

Buying seasonal florals and foliage at thrift stores saves a bundle. These were also .25 each and are perfect for crafting.

Last but not least, a few seasonal smalls to tuck into fall vignettes.

Until next time, happy hunting!

Fun Fall finds! I found a shallow basket like yours a while back. My plan for a basket wall is on hold until I find a few more baskets. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteAs a collector and re-seller of vintage/rustic I too like to use the items in my home décor while they are for sale on etsy.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you found some fun things for Fall. Love the die-cut pumpkins. I love Fall decorating and feel so anxious to clear my table off and add a fun Fall decoration. Just maybe that will happen this week. Thanks for sharing you finds.

Fun finds, Cecilia! And I always say it's a perk of the job...you get first pick!
ReplyDeleteI love your shallow basket. I have decorated them with several sprays of silk cherry blossoms for a spring Oriental look. I have baskets hanging from my kitchen soffit and off beams in the bedroom with a cathedral ceiling. I didn't have a large enough gift bag recently, so I packed the little gifts into a lovely square white wicker basket with a blue stripe that I got for $1 thrifting; the same price I would have paid for a gift bag @ Dollar Tree!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds, Cecilia :) I especially like the vintage basket and small wreaths -- great choices!
ReplyDeleteLove the little wreaths, the pumpkin plate, the scarecrows, the die-cut pumpkins...basically everything! Great finds!
ReplyDeleteI just opened my totes of fall and Halloween decor! SO much fun!
