Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! One of the best things about summer is the abundance of yard sales and I hit several great ones where I scored this week's fabulous finds. Anytime I see an ornate Italian frame like this one, I grab it. I decorate with them throughout my home, so it's a keeper!

I'm always happy to find vintage dishes that match one of my collections, like this Lifetime China Co. Gold Crown plate.

Next, I love mint julep cups and this one is a perfect addition to my silver collection, worn patina and all!

I frequently use vintage books as decor and I'm partial to old ecclesiastical volumes.

At first glance I thought this was a candlestick, but then realized it's an old lamp base. I'll probably use it as a type of pedestal to add height to upcoming seasonal vignettes.

Did you happen to notice the updated book cover I snuck in on the sidebar this week? It's been almost a year since I launched my first eBook chronicling my journey from divorce to a healed heart. In celebration of its first anniversary, I'm planning a relaunch and have made a few changes--same book, just an updated cover plus I've decided to list it exclusively on Amazon. I'll be sharing more soon about a special sale, so stay tuned and spread the word!

I love your finds Cecilia! Especially the frame and silver lamp base. Yes it does look like a candlestick!
ReplyDeleteI love that plate! It's perfect for your house. :-) looking forward to seeing what you use the lamp base for too. I recently bought a tarnished silver pitcher and I love how it looks! I finally understand the attraction to it...your cup is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI like the updated book cover (about half way through the book too. Wonderful so far! It can apply to so much more than divorce).
Yes Cecilia, I did notice the change in your book cover. So fitting and it looks great. I love all your finds, especially the lamp base. You will find lots of uses for that. Hope you are going to that "everything $1.00" sale today.

ReplyDeleteThat lamp base is fabulous, and I love the details of that frame. I can't resist frame like that either.
