Friday's Find: Yay for Yard Sales!

TGITF Friends! Yard sale season is upon us and that's where I scored most of today's fab finds...

Yard sale finds of the week
I was really tempted to keep these lovely aqua rimmed Buffalo china plates! They are available here.

This primitive folk doll was buried in a yard sale box.  I thought she looked like she had a story to tell and sure enough, Grandma Snazzy, made in the Ozark Mountains was inspired by the old Bob Burns radio programs from the 30s-40s. Look at the detail in her clothing and did you notice her little brown jug? Grandma Snazzy  SOLD!

I am always drawn to vintage books and this copy of The Count of Monte Cristo has a handwritten inscription from 1933.   SOLD

This adorable vintage kiddie chair was my first find of the day--stay tuned to see my plans for it! Update: See it  chalk painted and repurposed.

Great birdhouse too. How's the weather your way? We're getting more rain. But I'm not complaining! Have a wonderful weekend,

  5. Cecilia ... really neat stuff that you have to show us today. I LOVE the bird house. That would be so easy to make if I just had that cute picket fence board. Anxious to see what you do with the little chair. Enjoy your week-end.

  6. Oh...those aqua plates...if I wouldn't have to redecorate my entire kitchen to display them, they would be mine. So gorgeous!
