Greetings Friends! You may remember this raw wooden tote I found at an estate sale awhile back. Come see how I've repurposed it for outdoor dining...
So here's my $2 tote before...
...and here it is painted sunny yellow and ready to picnic!
I even found these festive floral plates at a thrift store! Did you notice the bright yellow napkins? They're from Ikea. They have the best napkins--cute selections and very nice quality! Unfortunately, the nearest one to me is nearly 3 hours away, but I try to get by there and stock up when I visit family in Houston.
This metal chalkboard sign was 50% off at Hobby Lobby. I just flipped it over...
...like this, so it would hang easily on the caddy.
Dear Firstborn will be visiting next weekend and I plan to do some grilling. I'm looking forward to the convenience of toting our tableware, before and after dining al fresco!
MY HEARTFELT THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING FOR FEATURING THIS POST:
Love the sunny yellow color. Turned out so pretty ... looks like you will have a fun time grilling out when your daughter is here.
ReplyDeleteIt turned out so cute! I think it will be fun to use.
ReplyDeleteHave you thought about Tuesday Morning for paper napkins? They usually have a great selection and good prices. They make a place setting a bit special. Check online to see if there are any close to you. Enjoy the start of summer!
ReplyDeleteThat turned out so cute! The bright sunny yellow would go perfectly on my back porch. :) I think I see a trip to IKEA in my near future!
ReplyDeletePaint always does wonders for an item! Great idea to use the caddy for tableware. Love the color!

ReplyDeleteI have just recently started shopping at the thrift stores for my photo props and I can't believe the beautiful treasures I've found. I love paying 50 cents for a plate instead of $36, lol.
This is really lovely!
Adorable! Love the yellow color, I'm sure it brightens up any table. I keep looking for one of these at thrift stores, now I know what I'll do with it once I find one!
ReplyDeleteI love Ikea! Mine is about an hour and a half away, so I only go about once a year. Your tote is cute!
