Vintage Kitchen Valentine Vignettes: Fridays at Home

Happy Friday, Friends! For today's Fridays at Home post, I've gathered pieces from my previously thrifted collections to create several vintage Valentine vignettes in my kitchen. Won't you join me?

My breakfast table is in the kitchen, and if you missed my Valentine tablescape, you can take a peek, here!

I am of the mindset that pretty dishes should be displayed rather than stuck in cabinets. While I can't display all of them, I do display my vintage jadeite year round. Having said that, I try to keep my counters from getting cluttered. So you'll notice that my vignettes are created by adding simple accents to existing displays.

For instance, you can create a whimsical seasonal display from something as simple as...

Did you notice I also mix vintage, bargain, and handmade? Seasonal dollar store candles are cute accents when combined with vintage and handmade pieces.

  1. I especially like your phrase "vintage, bargain, and homemade." That describes me to a T! I really enjoyed looking at your little vignettes. I eventually want to do stuff like this in my house--when I get rid of more clutter. I agree with you. Pretty stuff should be seen and used! My mother's "good" dishes and glassware sat in the attic for 60+ years. What a waste! Now I have a collection of gold edged Libbey glassware that shouldn't go through the dishwasher and no place to display them!
