Wicker Storage Trunk: Friday's Find #270

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! I hope you're having pretty fall weather in your area. We've had lots of rain this week, but I managed to snap a shot of this wonderful wicker trunk I scored from Goodwill. I rarely pass on pretty storage and this versatile trunk included a nice clean liner, as well! Come check out the rest of this week's fabulous finds...

I often use winter scarves as decor accents, and you know my fondness for this shade of pink, so at .50, I grabbed this one!

Though I'm not a fan of the orangey wood stain, this empty vintage spice rack has potential for a future makeover.

Lately, I've been really drawn to cross-stitch embroidery and have been picking up pieces here and there. I especially like those with Bible verses.  I have a plan...

  1. I almost always pick up cross stitch pictures! I love embroidery but it took ME 2 YEARS to do a 2x3" magnet. I HATE doing X stitch! Fortunately I have friends who have gifted me with several I love! Until I got LOTS of acrylic paints, the old spice shelves were perfect for acrylic paints! They are great for small tea and coffee tins, small figurines, etc. Sadie Seasongoods did a great Halloween version. Got another picnic basket this week; wicker storage is ALWAYS a good thing, isn't it! Love that pink scarf; can't wait to see how you use it.

  2. I need a trunk for my basement...I've been looking for a sturdy wooden one as a coffee table for my family room. Goodwill is not giving me what I need. ;) I will keep looking and keep your good luck in mind!!

  3. Great finds Cecilia ... I especially like the spice rack because it will make a real nice shelf to display small items. I am sure you will find lots of use for that wicker basket. Looks to be in good condition. I have not found anything in Goodwill lately. I must go on the wrong day. Thanks for sharing.
