Vintage Ironstone and State Souvenir Plates: Friday's Find #269

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Are you ready for this week's fabulous thrift store finds? I rarely pass on urns or vintage ironstone, so I was thrilled to find a white urn dated 1961 plus this pretty pitcher...

I also found several more vintage souvenir state plates which I try to keep stocked in my Etsy shop. The iridescent border on this small Florida plate is really eye-catching. AVAILABLE HERE!

Though they look similar in size in the photos, this Grand Canyon, Arizona plate is extra small. At just 5," it's less common than most and would be a nice addition to a gallery wall collection. AVAILABLE HERE!

The transferware souvenir plates sell best. This one features Royal Gorge, Colorado. AVAILABLE HERE!

Dear Daughter-in-Law and I spent the day together, and we found the perfect "ugly" Christmas sweater for her. You can see it still has the original $24 tag--I paid $3! Haha, it's actually cuter than most, in our favorite blush pink. Of course, anything looks great on this little cutie! This will be her first Christmas here in the States, and she's excited to celebrate our traditions including ugly Christmas sweater parties. ;)

Before I go, I want to let you know about a special fall outdoor garden post that I'll be sharing at two fall tours on Monday and Tuesday. I participated in the Fall in Love with Texas Tour hosted by Katie at Let's Add Sprinkles, last year. It's a week-long tour featuring 18 Texas bloggers on different days of the week.

Then on Tuesday, I'll be joining home and garden blogger friends hosted by Amber at Follow the Yellow Brick Home for the Fall Porches & Patio Tour. This is a one day tour featuring 22 bloggers!

  1. Love the ironstone, especially when it has that brown tint on it. Your dil is an adorable ginger. She'll make that ugly sweater way better than it ever hoped to be!

  3. So weird; when I was at my booth this week, an older lady was looking for a FL souvenir plate; she collected plates from the states where her granddaughters lived! Love the sweater; don't see them in pink very often! Great finds, as usual!

  6. Looks like you had another fun day and found lots of treasures. The "ugly" sweater is really cute and will look great on your beautiful DIL. I like the aged ironstone pitcher the best ... would fit right in with my collection. Looking forward to the Fall parties that you will be a part of.
    Hugs,
