Happy Wednesday, Friends! Since Valentine's Day is coming up in several weeks, I'm sharing simple gift boxes for the occasion, as the first 15 Minute Fix of the new year. These fun treat boxes can be filled with candy or small gifts and are so easy to craft...
Remember these thrift store pillow boxes I scored a few weeks ago? They are so versatile, I knew I would have fun crafting with them. Ready to make your own?
Start with small craft pillow boxes. As a guideline, mine are 4" x 5.5" but any size can be used. Next, raid your craft stash for decorative stickers, ephemera, etc. {Links for supplies are provided at the bottom of the post for your convenience.}
If desired, paint the front side of the box.
As a member of the DecoArt Blogger Outreach program, I received complimentary paint. See full disclosure here. |
Last, decorate your treat box by adding your choice of paper crafts and stickers. I attached my cupid with glue dots.
Here's an example of one that isn't painted, embellished with layered stickers.

DeleteThese are lovely and would be great for candies, small gifts or gift cards! Featuring when my party opens up.
ReplyDeleteIf you sacrifice a purchased pillow box to use as a pattern, you can make your own pillow boxes using colored card stock. They are nice holders for special letters and notes, candy, small presents, and gift cards.
