Hi there, Friends! If you frequent thrift stores often, I bet you've come across some fondue forks like the ones I used for today's project. Check out this simple garden repurpose with a retro vibe!

When I shared these thrift store fondue forks on Friday, I mentioned that I already had a project in the works...

...and this is it! The narrow fork end creates the perfect plant marker whether you place it directly in garden soil or a container plant. If DIY is not your thing, you can ORDER A SET OF RETRO PLANT MARKERS HERE!

The set I found looked like the wood pieces had been run through a dishwasher, so I started by polishing the handles with all natural teak oil, which will also help protect the wood from the outdoor elements. I simply rubbed it on with a cloth and allowed it to soak into the wood.

Once the handles felt dry to the touch, I used a sharpie to label them. You can add names of herbs, veggies, flowers or choose verbs like grow, thrive, bloom, etc. to personalize yours. They really are that easy--be creative and have fun!
