Repurposed Greeting Card Valentine Art

Happy Wednesday, Friends! It's funny, I really hadn't planned on sharing so many Valentine projects. It seems I have a habit of tucking away pretty craft supplies for the holiday and this is the year to use them!

I was actually putting away craft supplies from a recent project, when I came across this pretty Valentine card, tucked away from a previous year. The lovely color palette and feathery design begged to be repurposed, so I figured there was time for one more Valentine craft ;)

The other supplies I used were laminated burlap, glue dots and...

...an upcycled thrift store frame. I search estate sales and thrift stores for frames and give them chalk paint makeovers. I used glue dots to attach the burlap to the cardboard frame mat.

I also used them to secure the greeting card to the burlap front. Last I added some tiny floral trim at opposite corners.

  3. I love this idea! I do something similar with old/used Christmas cards. I use them to create tags for gifts. I just use the font cover and write on the back.

  14. Hi Cecila! So pretty! All your Valentine crafts have been adorable this year. BTW, I used Ibotta for the first time today when hubby & I went to grocery store. Just barely got under the wire for the $10, but made it. I think I'm going to like using it.
