...but first, Tea!

Hi there, Friends! Have you had a relaxing weekend? The last few weeks have been quite busy so I chose a quiet weekend at home.  Puttered in the garden, caught up on a little reading and binge-watched Netflix ... but first, tea!

Life is like a cup of tea, it's all in how you make it.

In Texas, we drink iced tea year round, but I'm in the minority that drinks it unsweetened. Stocking my selection for hot tea is one of the ways I anticipate fall. A few of my favorites are honey lavender and cinnamon. I've created a little tea time vignette featuring an assortment of my thrifted treasures. The pretty English teacup was a Friday's find from last fall. Then from the 100 mile yard salethe picture frame now repurposed as a small chalkboard tray. On Wednesday, I'll be sharing the tutorial for making it and protecting that gorgeous timeworn patina.

Tea is served ~ with some tasty bite sized herb frittatas.  See my recipe here.

Would you like an adventure now, or shall we have tea first?  Peter Pan

You may remember the transferware plates and this lovely pewter cream and sugar set were also scored at the 100 mile yard sale. Teaspoons are displayed in a mint julep tumbler, another recent yard sale find.

I've been adding a few neutral fall accents here and there; bringing out some acorns, burlap runners and brown transferware. Soothing to the senses...like a nice cup of tea!
