Greetings Friends! Spring has officially arrived and let me tell you, there are few things that make me happier than puttering in my garden on a gorgeous day! Won't you join me for a spring tour of Secret Garden?
There are several shrubs in bloom including pale pink viburnum pictured above and luscious lavender mountain laurel here. In the bottom right corner, oregano is beginning to peek through the mulch. Soon, it will blanket the area as a ground cover and this particular variety also has light pink blossoms.
If you've read a few of my garden posts, you know my fondness for signs, whimsy...
... and bright colors outdoors. This cozy sitting area began as a yard sale makeover and provided some much needed garden therapy! Read how here!
Yellow bush daisy is a Texas native--such a happy flower!
I shared my fence signage gathered from my trip to Canton, but not the sitting area beneath, which is directly across from my back door. From my favorite chair...
I can see another one of my favorites ~ the fountain!
Through the garden gate...
is a sea of fragrant rosemary,
and lush oregano.
Ready for spring orders at Secret Garden Herbs! See how I created my sign from assorted thrifted letters here!
I can see this pot of pretty dianthus from my bedroom window.
The Lady Banks roses seemed to bloom overnight!
I almost missed the first pink rose of the season--it's a climber and was over my head!
This sign just about sums it all up... ;)
On Wednesday, I'll be sharing my first 15 Minute Fix Garden Quickie--see you then!
It's all looking great Cecilia! I love that fountain! XoKathleen
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, I can feel the stress melt away. Isn't this the best time to be on the garden? I love it when everything starts to bloom and grow! Love all your bright colors!
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring!
Cecilia
Your viburnum looks like our Mountain Laurel, ours is white with a blush center. I've not seen purple Mtn Laurel, thanks for sharing. You can see ours here - https://frommycarolinahome.wordpress.com/2015/05/22/rhododendrons-may-2015/
ReplyDeleteI have garden envy...especially since yours is blooming and has a red rooster. ;)
ReplyDeleteMy garden here in Oregon is blooming as well. I plan to make some signs for my garden as well. I have collected quite a few fun sayings to use!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour of your beautiful garden. Everything looks so pretty and I know you have worked hard to get it that way. Our wisteria by the garden was beautiful this year. Enjoy Spring.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Audrey Z.
I need to have a week with you at garden camp!! It's fabulous :)
ReplyDeleteRosemary and oregano...perfect combo! Is your oregano huge or is that the perspective of the camera? Everything is so pretty. We are really lucky this year.
ReplyDeleteHappy Gardening and thanks so much for joining the party.
I am embarrassed to admit that I have never been successful growing herbs.
ReplyDeleteI am not giving up-
In South Texas all I really need is cilantro.
Yours look amazing.
Happy Garden Party!
I planted a Viburnum like that a couple of years ago. In bloom now and it smells heavenly! Your herbs always amaze me at how huge they are. Love whimsy in the garden as well. You do it wonderfully my friend! Thanks for sharing with the Garden Party.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
