Happy Monday, Friends! Faux botanicals have come a long way! At times, it can be difficult to spot the difference--especially in photographs. Today I'll show you how I blended fresh and faux flowers and greenery to create a charming late summer to fall door basket

Here's a quick before and after of the door basket I scored at a yard sale for $1 and styled as late summer decor to transition to fall. Sunflowers are the perfect flower for both seasons and they have been plentiful in my garden.

In some instances faux is the best option. Here, I've blended my fresh sunflowers with faux lamb's ear and honestly when I place it next to the real thing from my garden, you cannot tell the difference. As much as I love the fresh textured leaves, they don't last long in bouquets. Water-filled floral tubes are the key to adding fresh blooms to arrangements like door baskets. (Pictured in the top right photo.) Refill them as needed to keep the flowers fresh. Voila! That's all there is to it!

That basket was a great find! Stunning on your door and love how you put it together.
