Happy Monday, Friends! Today I'm sharing how I refashioned my vintage Christmas tinsel tree as retro decor for Valentine's Day. Best of all, since I shopped my home collections and craft supplies, I didn't spend a penny

Below you can see the transition from Christmas to Valentine's Day. I really love the nostalgic vibe of the slender tinsel branches so I kept the ornaments minimal. I started by swapping the vintage urn I used during the holidays for a retro Fire King Dots bowl.

Here's a closer look at the fun vintage bowl and also the felt heart and Christmas clearance beaded garland I added.

Next, I replaced the aqua bow topper with a tiny doily and red velvet bow that I attached with a small zip tie.

Before hanging my retro paper valentines, I added a strand of floral trim from my craft stash and found the perfect spot for Teddy Valentine to nestle among the branches.

There is just something about vintage valentines that makes my heart go pitter patter!

Last, I used several clip-on ornaments to balance bare spots. (I included the back view in the middle so you can see the mini clothes pin clips.)

Please join me next week--I'll be featuring my retro tinsel tree at the Valentine's Day Tablescape Blog Hop on January 28 hosted by Rita from Panoply!
