Happy Tuesday, Friends and welcome to the first Creative Craft Blog Hop of 2025 hosted by Sara from Birdz of a Feather! If you have a garden sign that has seen better days, I'll show you how to spruce it up so it stays fabulous through the harsh winter weather
If you hopped over after visiting Carol from Bluesky at Home, I'm so glad you're here! This whimsical metal garden sign originally had a shiny copper patina. Although years in the scorching Texas sun left it faded and drab, a little paint can work wonders! Here's a quick before and after.
Ready to spruce up your sign? Start by cleaning it thoroughly with a Magic Eraser sponge. Next, paint it with Apple Barrel indoor/ patio craft paint and allow it to dry. (I have used the Spring Green shade for several outdoor projects and it weathers the elements really well.) Last, rub lettering or other details with fine sand paper to achieve a distressed finish.
Next up is Gail from Purple Hues and Me-- I always look forward to seeing her creative projects! Enjoy visiting the rest of today's talented bloggers below:
