15 Minute Stenciled Pantry Sign

Happy Monday, Friends! If you've ever come up empty-handed after looking for a sign with specific measurements, check out my latest 15 minute fix...

The inspiration sign in the first square was too wide for my pantry door. Since I loved the simple design, I decided to look for a smaller sign to recreate the look. I found a plain enamel sign on sale at Hobby Lobby that was just the right size and used letter stencils I already had on hand.

Tips for Stenciling:

*Adhesive stencils are awesome, but you can achieve the same results by using painter's tape to secure your stencil.
*Use a cosmetic wedge and blot first.
*Remove any smudges with a Q-tip while the letters are still wet.

Here's how it looks hanging. If you saw my new kitchen rug last week, the pantry is just to the left of the breakfast table, and I'll be sharing more of my summer kitchen next week. {Look here to give your builder's grade doors a vintage upcycle!}

  1. I love ALL of your 15 minute fixes. Sometimes you NEED to do something creative to fill the hole in your soul, but time just calls out for other "shoulds" that need doing. Fifteen minutes can be squeezed in here and there--while waiting for supper to cook, the washer to finish a cycle, paint on another project to dry, etc. I crochet or knit in the car when I am a passenger or in a meeting to make double use of my time, too.
