Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! How has your week been? After a two-week visit, I put Ginger Grand on a plane to return home Wednesday. We had so much fun and I miss him already! Now... ready for this week's fabulous thrift store finds?
I was happy to score this pretty Pottery Barn footed bowl for $1. I love the inscription: Family is belonging to and believing in each other. I can think of lots of ways to use this versatile piece--it's a keeper!
I love the little sheep that illustrate the scripture on this sweet cross-stitch. Though it's personalized, probably as a gift, I have an idea to make it my own.
The same day that Ginger Grand and I found this cute outdoor pillow at one of our favorite thrift stores for $2, we saw the exact same one at Home Depot for $12! He was quite impressed with the price difference ;)
I've always found Norman Rockwell's art so charming. I couldn't pass on this set of mugs.
Each one features a different scene with the title and description of the art on the back of the mug. They are stamped from the Norman Rockwell Museum. AVAILABLE HERE!
Last but not least, a lovely blue and white vintage souvenir plate featuring Washington D.C. AVAILABLE HERE!
If you're not already, I hope you'll follow my Vintage Market on Instagram. I'm adding new listings each week!
Until next time, happy unting!
Some really great finds. Love the little cross stitch and the footed bowl!
ReplyDeleteHey my thrifty friend! You have some fabulous finds there! I have those same Rockwell mugs. I hope to start posting some of my thrift store finds.. I've been away for a long time but I think I'm back on track with lots of projects going on. I hope you'll visit when you can.

So cute that Ginger Grand was impressed with the pricing difference - a valuable teaching moment! Can you imagine that PB at only $1 and how much it originally was - likely $59-$89, and doesn't seem that long ago that they sold those! Fun finds. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHave to share this story about N. Rockwell mugs. Back in 80’s they were sold thru a magazine ad in sets of 4, my mother ordered 1 set. Soon she began receiving multiple sets in the mail, she was worried about having to pay for them all and really didn’t want that many. She tried to contact the company but was unsuccessful. In the end she ended up with about 16 mugs and never billed. She gave them to me and I kept them all these years, just donated to charity last month when I cleared out stuff before moving.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I bet you enjoyed having Ginger Grand go thrifting with you. Sounds like you had a wonderful time together. Have a wonderful weekend!

Pottery Barn bowl for a dollar is a wonderful find. In fact I love all your finds. I know you miss Ginger Grand after his two week visit. It looks like you two always have a great time together.
ReplyDeleteYou found lots of goodies, Cecilia! I haven't had much time for thrifting lately, so it is fun to shop vicariously with you!
ReplyDeleteLove that outdoor pillow. Great bargain. Looks like you had a lot of fun shopping with Ginger Grand and found some neat stuff. I went to a couple Thrift stores today. First time since my knee surgery on July 3rd. Felt good to get out, but did not find much. Mainly looking for farmhouse antiques. Always enjoy seeing what you find.

Very sweet finds! How fun that Ginger Grand is into thrifting!
ReplyDeleteWow! You really scored! Love, love the footed bowl...and what a fabulous price! Sure wish I had some good thrift stores near me. I love "the hunt" even though I seldom find anything. Hope you have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing that bowl at Pottery Barn! And I love that sweet pillow, it's perfect for the garden. xo Kathleen
