Vintage Syracuse China: Friday's Find #255

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! It's always a blessing to come across a vintage collection, especially when it has been well loved and cared for. This week I'm featuring a lovely assortment of Syracuse China Syralite dishes in the charming Honeycomb pattern...

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my new Vintage Market. Once again, Etsy is making changes that will begin in July. For the time being, I'm going to keep my shops open, but I'm also exploring new options, which is why I added the shop page on Instagram. I'll be featuring select items there, which will be priced slightly lower than I'm able to price on Etsy.  Thank you for your follows, likes, or comments!

I hit a great sale last week where I found an assortment of Syracuse China Syralite in the charming Honeycomb pattern, from the 70s. Today I'm going to highlight those I listed on Instagram. I'll list the prices here, and if you see something you'd like to purchase, email me or leave a comment to claim it, and I'll send you an invoice to pay by Paypal. Set of 4 cups and saucers $20 plus shipping. (2 sets available.)

I love the platters. I can see them on a gallery wall, or even stenciled. There are two sizes. Small: 7" x 10" $10 each plus shipping. (4 available)

When it comes to vintage creamers and sugar bowls, I rarely meet a set I don't love, and the Syralite Honeycomb pair is no exception. $19 set plus shipping

Sometimes I pick up things without knowing anything about them--like a pair of French plates this week. I learned that they were originally part of a 12 piece set Sujets Musicaux Terre De Fer France, from the 1920s. Each plate is numbered and features a different opera! I love details like that ;)  First, No. 10, Les Noces De Jeannette. 8.75" $12 plus shipping.

That's about half of my listings at this time. I also posted some vintage salt and peppers, milk glass and linens. I hope to add a few more listings over the weekend. I hope you'll drop by to check it out! Until next time, happy hunting!

  1. Love the French plates and the pillowcase (birds get me every time!). Ugh....I was never on Etsy, but I can only guess they're raising fees. I'm not in IG, but may end up there. My oldest daughter just deactivated her FB account (but she's on IG), and I feel like I've lost her. :(

    1. Thanks, Rita! I feel your pain--sometimes I have to read my long distance kids' live feed stories on IG to see what's happening!

  2. I saw your IG shop the other day. Good luck with it. You will have to let me know how it goes. I've had some issues with my hosting company so I am stepping away from blogging for a while. In the meantime, please visit me at Instagram and Twitter.

  3. Congrats on the new shop, Cecilia! I've been thinking an IG shop might be right for me, too!

  4. I am disappointed in Etsy too, raising fees yet again. Now they will charge a fee on the shipping charges too! Which means I have to take that out of my profits, or raise prices, neither is appealing!! For now I'll stay on Etsy, but I haven't found the market for vintage items to be that good for me. I cannot do Instagram as I don't have a smart phone so they won't let me play. Ebay fees are just as bad, they now do free listings, but the final value fees are higher. There are no really good options anymore.

  5. I could see those French plates as part of a gallery wall. Hit an antique place this week and saw some Jadeite; I have a new respect for your collection! I love sugar and creamers, too! Great shapes.I just found out tonite that a shop where a friend and I share a booth is closing after 2 months. I'm not enthusiastic about Etsy and know nothing about Instagram, but where am I gonna put all these boxes???

  6. I hardly ever see Syracuse China while thrifting, and it is the next city over from me! That was a great find for you! I saw your Vintage Market on Instagram....what a great idea! I tried to set up something similar but couldn't....I have to work on it.

  7. I am a Goodwill~er, I love to shop there for buys. I used to go there all the time since I am also a craft~er and buy lots of things to revamp or upcycle however I am trying to decrease that load and trying to avoid buying more. I have never seen this pattern on your dishes before. Pretty neat. Looks like you hit that sale just right.
