Friday's Find #167

TGITF Friends!  Well October is flying by, isn't it? While Cecilia B was here, we made the rounds to all of my favorite local thrifting haunts and spent some time in charming Fredericksburg too. I'll be sharing those finds next week. Ready to see this week's features? I rarely pass on old rolling pins so I grabbed this one when I saw it at a yard sale. Isn't the hand painted wooden scoop lovely? They're both Available.

I think these wood burned cross light switch covers are so pretty. I've always considered decorative switch covers rather hard to find, so I am thinking they'll be just right for someone. Available

I have been looking for lamps and lately the ones I've come across in thrift stores either lack makeover potential or are way over priced. I found this one at a yard sale for $1! The seller was happy to plug in for me to be sure it worked.  Mini makeover coming soon...

This little ballerina will look sweet nestled in the branches of my Nutcracker inspired dress form Christmas tree. I love the way she is sitting with her feet are tucked under her--reminds me a bit of Youngest Daughter who was once a tiny ginger haired ballerina ;)

I found this piece of salvaged door at Finds. It just so happens to be the right size for my next DIY project--stay tuned!

Have you noticed I've been adding more sections to my shop on the blog? Most recently I've added organic herbs, rosemary salt and stamped stones. I've decided to keep my Etsy shops open for the time being, but keep in mind, I am able to charge slightly less when items are ordered directly from me on the blog.

Until next time, happy hunting!

  4. I am crazy about old doors, love the piece you found. I have two lamps similar to yours that I got at Goodwill years ago for a few bucks. Still using them today! xoKathleen Charm Bracelet Diva {At Home}

  7. Cecilia, love that rolling pin -- looks like my grandmother's. Wish I had asked for it when she died; it would be a treasure. I donated a set of china, service for 8, this week that is from the 1930s, belonged to my grandmother-in-law. So someone will be making a thrilling find at the thrift store next week!
