Happy Monday, Friends! I'm a big fan of completing garden projects in early spring before the Texas temps soar. Some of my favorite garden decor were originally yard sale finds that I brought home and refreshed, including this armillary sphere sundial

True confession: I've been known to fall in love with treasures despite not knowing their given names...which is how I learned that this cool sphere thingy with an arrow is actually an armillary sphere sundial. You can read more about them, here! Here's a quick before and after:

As you've probably guessed, all this beauty needed was some sanding and a little paint. I chose FolkArt Metallic Gold Rose and gave it 2 coats. TIP: A stiff, sturdy brush works best for reaching/covering all the nooks and crannies.

DeleteCecilia,
ReplyDeleteI have a small one that I painted almost 20 years ago and the paint is peeling. I think it is time to sand it down and give it a fresh coat of paint!! Thanks so much for the inspiration!!
