Happy Tuesday and welcome to the first Creative Craft Blog Hop of 2026 hosted this month by Sara from Birdz of a Feather. Today I'll show you how to craft a DIY mossy heart in two easy steps that makes a lovely gift or decor for Valentine's Day and beyond

If you've hopped over after visiting Carol from Bluesky at Home, aren't her napkin rings lovely? For my craft, I started with a thrifted wire heart form. First I packed the back side firmly with moss. Then I sprayed it with adhesive. That's really all there is to it! Check out my tips below:

TIPS: 1. If you are unable to find this type of heart, a similar effect can be achieved by attaching chicken wire to a heart-shaped wreath. 2. After realizing mid-project that my spray adhesive had dried up, I learned that hair spray makes a great alternative--just be sure to allow the backside to dry thoroughly before flipping and spraying the front side. Optional: Use a small piece of floral wire to attach a bow if desired.

Above is a sneak peek of my mossy heart hanging above the winter plant sanctuary mantel I will be sharing next week. Which look do you prefer--bare or bow?
