Happy Tuesday, Friends! Today I am joining my talented blogger friends for the Thanksgiving Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by my sweet friend Rita from Panoply. Pull up a chair to my vintage table featuring copper and velvet accents

If you've hopped over after visiting the pretty table shared by Kari from Me & My Captain, welcome! I gathered the last of the sunflowers from my garden, arranging them in vintage dishes from my thrifted collection.

Although the particular thrift store has since closed, I scored most of the dishes featured today for .25--some were even 2 for .25! For today's setting, I have layered 1960s Taylor Smith & Taylor Autumn Harvest salad plates with Syracuse Syralite Honeycomb oval platters. The copper Blessed and velvet ribbon were seasonal sale and clearance bargains I tucked away.

An urn of pears and vintage linens create a simple centerpiece.

Dried wheat complements the salad plate pattern while soft candlelight creates a festive mood.

Here's a bird's eye view:

I adore the look of velvet ribbon draping the chandelier.

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing pictures of your beautiful home. The white fireplace, the mirrors on the wall, and you are killing me with that chandelier! Your table is so beautiful in its simplicity, and wow, what a bargain you got on those dishes.
ReplyDeleteYour charming vintage look harkens back to simpler times of Thanksgivings past. Karen (Back Road Journal)
ReplyDeleteSuch a warm and welcoming table - I like how you ties the flatware with velvet ribbon! I live right outside of Syracuse, not far from where Syracuse China was made , but never heard of Syralite! Love them! Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteCecilia, I love the pear centerpiece with the vintage linens. You are undoubtedly the best thrifter, I love the plates! The velvet ribbon adds a charming element to your table. The greenery and velvet ribbon is perfect dressing for your chandelier! It is always a pleasure to hop with you. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving season!
ReplyDeleteCecilia you never cease to amaze me with your thrifting purchases. What a deal....I have never been so lucky. LOL. I love the velvet ribbon and vintage linens. The fresh fruit centerpiece is also beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for your kind comments to my email.🥰🍁🐿️
ReplyDeleteGood morning Cecilia, I love your use of pears as a centerpiece for your table, so simple and affordable when you can eat the centerpiece later. 😊 I love the unexpected pairing of your salad plates on the oval platters, what bargains too. The velvet ribbon is the perfect finishing touch. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you! Happy November 🦃🍂🧡
ReplyDeleteA very sweet setting for the Thanksgiving season, Cecilia. I love that ribbon and the Blessed messages at the plates (and also that flatware). The oval platter plates are a nice alternative to round dinner plate, and just as appropriate as using a charger plate for this festive abundance of a meal. The pears, sunflowers and wheat are lovely natural elements to the tablescape. Thanks you so much for joining this blog hop and sharing your thrifted approach to a beautiful tablescape. Happy Thanksgiving to you.
ReplyDeleteOooh copper! One of my favorites. It’s so lovely with your gorgeous velvet ribbon, and I love the oval plate. It’s such a unique plate stack – so fun for a lovely Thanksgiving table! And your chandelier is beautiful. I love the draping ribbon over the greenery. I’m going to borrow that idea above my own dining table and see if I can pull it off as well as you did here. The pears in the centerpiece are great, but it’s the linen that really stole my heart! It looks vintage, yes? Either way, it’s beautiful! Thanks for all the inspiration – I can’t wait to go try your ideas! So nice hopping with you Cecilia. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteCecilia, I love everything about your table. Those thrifted plates are gorgeous and what a fabulous find! Love the delicate pattern on them. The pears, wheat, and sunflowers make a beautiful centerpiece and the lace doilies are so pretty. I love the flatware tied in the velvet ribbon and the blessed signs are darling. The chandy is just marvelous - thanks for all the inspiration. It was a pleasure hopping with you and wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteCecilia, I haven't seen doilies used on tables in ages, which is a shame because they bring a unique and lovely textural touch. Another unique styling on your table are the oval plates paired with the round salad plates, both in fall's amber colors. And the velvety ribbons repeat that color and add a different type of texture. I love the way you've draped it through the chandelier with the greenery. Very pretty! Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteCecilia, I love the nostalgic look of your dishes! The little velvet bow adds that special touch. Your doilies just soften everything to give your table that warm and cozy feel. Love the creamer with the little wheat bouquet as well!! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving 🧡🦃
ReplyDeleteEverything about this is gorgeous! The colors, the textures...divine! Featuring when my link party opens.
